How to view competitors’ ads

How to view competitors’ ads

Before launching or relaunching ads, it helps to understand what competitors already run in your niche in Tashkent and Uzbekistan. There are legal, transparent tools for that: Meta Ads Library (Facebook/Instagram ad library) and Google Ads Transparency Center. This is not “hacking an ad account” and not a list of someone else’s bids. It is a public showcase of ads that the platforms themselves display. The article is for owners and marketers: how to open the libraries, what to write down, and how to turn observations into hypotheses for your own Ads — without copying one-to-one. UZNEO keeps a calm tone: competitive review is preparation, not a promise that “we’ll outrun everyone in a week.”

01Why review competitors’ ads — and what is missing

Useful to see: • which offers and headlines repeat; • creative format (video, carousel, static banner); • language (RU / UZ) and tone; • landing URLs (often visible); • how long the ad has been in rotation (Meta often shows a start date). Usually not visible: • exact budget and CPC; • full audience and bids; • competitor conversion and CPL; • a “secret” account strategy.

A long-running ad ≠ a profitable one. Sometimes it simply was never paused.

02Meta Ads Library: how to open it and what to look for

1. Open facebook.com/ads/library. 2. Country: Uzbekistan (or the one you need). 3. Category: All ads / relevant topic. 4. In search — brand name, company name, niche keyword, phone, domain. 5. Filters: platform (Facebook, Instagram), status Active. What to write into a table: • advertiser / Page; • copy and CTA; • creative format; • launch date (if shown); • link to site / Instagram; • language. Look not only at direct competitors, but also adjacent services in the same city: you see which hooks are already overused. On running your own Meta ads — Meta Ads / Instagram in Uzbekistan.

03Google Ads Transparency Center

Google shows part of an advertiser’s ads in the Ads Transparency Center: 1. Open Google’s transparency center (ads.google.com/transparency or search “Google Ads Transparency Center”). 2. Find the advertiser by name / domain. 3. Look at formats: Search, Display, YouTube — whatever is available in the region. 4. Note RSA texts (headlines/descriptions) if shown, and landing pages. Limits: coverage is incomplete; not all ads and not all geos are equally visible; no bids or account quality.

04What else you can review legally

Google / Yandex Search for commercial niche queries — who appears in ads and organic. • Competitor landing pages on a phone: speed, offer, form, messenger. • Google Business / 2GIS — reviews, photos, replies. • Creatives on the site and in Reels — not Ads Library, but communication tone. Do not use grey “spy” services with dubious access to ad accounts — risk to your account and reputation is not worth someone else’s bid screenshot. Landing ↔ Ads link — landing page for ads.

05Review checklist for 45–60 minutes

☐ List of 5–10 competitors / niche brands ☐ Meta Ads Library: Active ads, country UZ ☐ Google Transparency: domain / name ☐ Search results for 5 commercial queries ☐ 3 landings opened on a phone over 4G ☐ Table: offer | creative | language | URL | note ☐ 3 hypotheses for your own test (not 30 ideas) ☐ What not to copy: promotions you do not have Table row template: `Competitor | Platform | Offer | Format | Language | URL | Running since | Our test` After the review — one test for 7–14 days, not “rebuild the whole brand tomorrow.”

06How to turn observations into hypotheses

Rule: one observation → one hypothesis → one test. Examples: • 4 of 5 in Meta stress “visit within 24 hours” → hypothesis: urgency matters; test: your own deadline headline + truth on the landing. • Everyone is in Russian, audience writes in Telegram in Uzbek → hypothesis: UZ creative; test: 1 ad set in Uzbek. • Competitor sends traffic to a messy homepage → hypothesis: a narrow landing wins; test: landing for one offer.

07Ethics and risks of copying

• Do not copy texts and creatives one-to-one — legally and reputationally toxic. • Do not promise in an ad what you do not have on your site. • Do not attack a competitor’s brand in ads without a legal basis. • Do not conclude profitability from the fact that “it hangs in the Library.” The goal of a review is to speed up learning, not steal someone else’s showcase. In Tashkent’s tight market, copy-paste is noticed quickly by clients and partners.

08Cadence: how often to repeat the review

• Before launching a new campaign — a full 45–60 minute pass. • Once a month — a quick scan of top competitors’ Active ads. • When CPL rises sharply — check whether the niche offer/creative shifted. • After your own strong test — glance at the Library again: any “clones”? Assign an owner: otherwise the review stays a one-off “interesting look” with no tests.

Summary

You can review competitors’ ads in Uzbekistan legally through Meta Ads Library and Google Ads Transparency Center, plus search results and landings. It is a source of hypotheses — not someone else’s CPC or guarantees. Order: brand list → Library / Transparency → table → 3 hypotheses → one 7–14 day test. A calm Meta setup guide is in Meta Ads in Uzbekistan; search — Google Ads in Tashkent. UZNEO uses competitive review as a campaign prep step — without spying and without copy-paste.
